Happy 2nd Birthday Aiden!

Wow, two years ago at 4:48pm we welcomed our precious baby boy Aiden Jonathan into the world, our family and our hearts. Life hasn't been the same to say the least and through all the ups and downs of the past two years we wouldn't trade a second of it away. We have a very healthy and very happy little two year old. He talks up a storm, most of which makes sense and the child doesn't walk around - he runs around. He has a fear of NOTHING except doctors but that is to be expected with everything he has gone through. He bonks into things or falls down and it doesn't seem to phase him one bit. At the moment he is a great eater and a great sleeper (knock on wood) He eats about 4 meals a day and 1 or 2 naps a day consisting of 1 -2 hours each. Night time that used to be a battle has been MUCH easier the last month and a half or so and he will eat dinner, take a shower (yes, he prefers showers) and then off to bed without a single fuss. We are truly blessed and are wondering if this is the calm before the storm. I have heard that there is something about turning three that changes the sleeping habits and that just makes me think that I am going to ride this year out as much as possible. We are hoping everything can stay somewhat the same once Keegan arrives.

He has about 150 words in his vocabulary and about 15-20 multi-word phrases. He is 37 &1/2 inches tall and 31 lbs which puts him just a little over 50% for weight and over 100% for height. If the urban legend is correct, that puts Aiden projected between 6'5" and 6'3" - that's nuts!!!! He's already eating a TON and it's only gonna get worse. our grocery bills are going to be through the roof. He still has quite a temper on him but we are trying to shape that as best we can and he really is a good boy that is starting to really listen and respond which is great.

I have the same toy box. Sadly, mine has become permanent.
