It was a happy Father's Day

Last Sunday was our second annual Father's Day trip to Petco Park. Drew looks forward to this day every year now so that he can enjoy two of his passions; his son and Padres baseball. Granted it's not as fun for me being a Dodger fan, but seeing Drew and Aiden together makes it the perfect day for me too. Knowing full well that there is no way we could have Aiden sit still in a seat for about 4 hours we decided to get tickets in the Park at the Park in the sandbox section. It really is a cool little place. In center field there is a huge sandbox right at field level and kids can go in there and play during the whole game. It really was fun - Aiden had a blast. We knew that our neighbors who have Aiden's best buddy Lily; were sitting in the same section, but they ended up being right across the aisle from us so Aiden and Lily had fun hanging out for most of the day. The Padres won big and Drew was thrilled with his special Day.

"Hey Lily, Did you know there was a game going on?"

This year, Father's day was also "Uncle G's" birthday and Greg happened to be coaching a volleyball tournament that day - not his favorite way to spend his birthday, but he made the best of it. We drove up to the tournament after the game and had fun hanging out with Grammy and GA and watching Uncle G coach. They won the game we saw in a dramatic fashion so that was fun to be a part of and get to share with Uncle G as well. Mammy must have the pictures of Aiden and GA.

The sports center got a little loud for Aiden with all the whistles blowing at the same time so we busted out Aiden's video ipod and he watched Word World
