Christmas time is here, there and everywhere :)

The lights are hung, the tree is up and the stalkings are hung, now bring in the big guy in red!! That's right, the cox family is ready to roll. This year's mission is to see if we can actually get a picture with Santa. The only one we have of Aiden was when he was 2 months old and he screamed through the whole thing. He haven't even bothered since then so this year he seems to like the big guy. We went to watch him come to town in Mission Viejo. It helped that he come in on a fire truck which is one of Aiden's favorite things right now. Unprompted, he waved and said "Hi Santa" which was a good first step for him. I see this as the transition year for him to really liking Santa.

We have also enlisted the help of our very own new holiday friend, Elf on the Shelf that Aiden lovingly named "Flicker." Aiden knows that Flicker is watching him on behalf of Santa and that Aiden needs to be a good boy so he can make a good report back to Santa. This "encouragement" works most of the time. It's been fun watching Flicker find news ways to hide from him. ;)
