A Summer Re-cap

To say this summer has been a crazy one is an understatement. We have been to the OC fair and to Disneyland of course :). These last couple of weeks have been a absolute whirlwind with house-sitting for Ga and Mammy for two weeks while they were in Hawaii and all the stress and drama that poor Drew has had to face surrounding the company. So, Daddy is on a well needed and deserved mini vacation to the river with the guys. Aiden and I are having fun playing and cleaning the house. He is actually a good little helper. It's HOT here so we have dates with the pool or as well like to call it our new happiest place on earth.... for now :)

Aiden, What does a cow say? "Mooooooooooooooo"

Um, Dada, There are too many animals here

Mama's cuddle Bug!!

Baby Keegan has been petty quiet lately and I thinking he is back to being transverse and inverted, plus with the anterior pregnancy it makes it hard to feel him move anyway. 26 weeks this Friday and we are anxiously waiting to meet him. Still have a ways to go, but over half way there and rallying till the end. It's so much harder when you are chasing another one around. They say it makes you younger - man, I must be back to my teens :)
We went to on our annual family trip to Dodger Stadium with Ga, Mammy and G. We actually got to see a good win which was a nice change for the way our season has been going. Drew's Padres are in first place, but let's see if they can hold on to it.

Rare so it had to be recorded :)

I worked summer school this year to meet the people that I would be working with in the fall now that Kendal and I are moving on to High School at Tesoro. I love the teachers and the staff and they really seem to have their act together which is a nice change! We had some fun adventures and went on some great community based instruction (CBI) outings.

This was from one of our trips to the Beach. Kendal's family was able to come down and hang out. Mackenzie, Delaney, Mama Jill, Kendal and I

That brings us to August. My last day of school was Wednesday the 4th and Drew's company was closed down on the following Monday. Our fabulous(HA!!) president decided that he would stop at nothing to get his health-care agenda forced down our throats come hell or high water and set out to shut down 122 companies that offered alternatives to his mandate - Drew's company was one of them. Wait a minute....I though this was the man that was supposed to come in a save us all. He was going to "Change" things and create more jobs and he has done nothing but the opposite. of everything he said he was going to do Some people still say "Hope" and I say it was all hype. Thanks but no thanks - you can keep the "change." Oh, and did I mention that they didn't even get their final paycheck or any vacation pay??? Yup The FTC sent in an "impartial" lawyer to do an "investigation" and paid himself for all of his services out of the company money and made the decision that there was nothing left for the employees - nice huh.

So, here we are both not working for the month of August and not getting any paychecks so we did everything we could to make the best of it and shared some awesome family time together before I had to go back to work in September and before Keegan arrived. We got to spend 24/7 with Aiden and it was so much fun. We took advantage of our Disneyland passes and went several times with ourselves and with friends, we went to the beach and spent several hours at the pool. Aiden and I went to visit his Great GGPA and GGMA and went out to lunch with them.
