Yeah, we know....we've been lagging. Life has been busy to say the least - Let's see, what's new...... Aiden is so much fun right now, despite yet another double ear infection :( Poor little thing ran a 104 fever and when we couldn't get it to break - in we went. He was tested for just about everything under the sun and at that point, keeping him comfortable was the least of their concerns. They ran tests that I pray he will NEVER have to undergo again! I'll spare you the details but he was not a happy camper. So, he's back on anti-biotics for like the 10th time and as always, nothing seems to slow him down. Drew and I spent our first full day away from Aiden when we went to Magic Mountain with Drew's company. I felt under dressed because I didn't have any visible tatoos..... ON MY FACE!! It was quite an adventure. Aiden hung out with Grammy and Grampy.
I went to my first Lakers' play-off game. It was awesome!! My mom got her hands on a couple of tickets and we made a girl's night of it. What else...... Aiden went to his first volleyball tournament and watched Uncle G coach. He spooks easily when he hears sudden sounds or noises so I thought for sure that it was going to be a terrible experience, but it was actually great and Aiden actually slept through most of it.
Father's day is coming up and Drew will be taking Aiden to his first Padres game. Letting him put my son in Padres anything is my gift to him :) Just kidding! Aiden and I got Daddy something that we know he is going to love, but you'll find out after Drew does :)
Aiden finally got to meet Sarah, Seath and Sarah's husband Michael. They were in town for a wedding and we were able to meet them for lunch and catch up. As tired as we were we had a great time hanging out and getting to know Michael.
We were able to watch our first live Welsh rugby match today. Mark traveled here on a North American tour and they played the US today in Chicago. If it weren't for Aiden's ear infection we would have been there in person :( but we did watch it on TV. Mark scored the first try and we yelled so loud we scared the crap out of the child - we felt bad and then told him that he would get used to it :)
Aiden is 19+ lbs and 29+ inches. He is clapping and giving high 5s. He's walking around anything he can pull himself up. His teeth are still coming in and he is making the funniest sound sucking and smacking his gums. He is taking 8oz bottles and 2oz of solid food at almost every feeding now. The child still never sits still and still isn't sleeping through the night on a consistant basis.
Aiden always manages to be ahead of the developmental milestones but when his daycare sent us a picture of Aiden behind the wheel of his little car we figured he would be talking any minute and putting in his request for a car. I have been working on sign language with him so I hope that he picks that up quickly.
Bye for now :)
