So little AJC has decided to move a little bit for Kim. So now, on some days it lays horizontal instead of vertical, which allows Kim's diaphragm to work properly and lets her breathe normally. Unfortunately it makes her really top heavy and adds pressure to her back and shoulders. So when we went to the doctor her blood pressure is still higher than he would like it to be. He said the highest it should be is 145 over 85 and Kim is still coming in at 150 over 90. This led him to the conclusion that Kim has "Pregnancy Induced Hypertension". Her BP isn't high enough for her to be on meds for it, or for her to be on bed rest, but it is high enough that they are tip-toeing around it. We don't have another appointment until a week from Thurs, and then every week after that until the sucker pops out. Kim wishes it would happen tomorrow. Everybody keeps telling us, 'Bad pregnancy equals good baby" It is nice for people to say that, but we are a little more realistic that, it is OUR kid.
Kim also had her first shower last week. It was a swanky affair, that ended up with me hauling a bunch of boxes home. We are very grateful for everybody's generosity, and can't thank them enough. We have two more showers left. One co-ed shower, which should be interesting seeing as how I have never been to a baby shower, and one with work friends. All good times. Follow the link to all of the pictures from shower #1.
I finished painting the nursery and now we are ready to put new carpet in. Once that is done, I get to put together the crib and changing table, and decorate and.......... We will post pics of the nursery once it is completely finished.
Again, thank you to everybody who came to the shower, and thank you to everyone for all of their and thoughts and prayers, we can feel them!

Kim - you may not be feeling the best, but you are absolutely beautiful! "Glowing" is exactly right in your case.
Don't you want to join the bed rest club? No. You. Don't. keep hanging in there!! Not too much longer :)
Hey, kim! SUCH cute shower pictures...I love the "pea in the pod" theme! Your "shower throwers" were so creative. I especially love the note from AJC and the pod diaper cake.
I know you're feeling crappy, but you are just adorable with that baby belly! Before you know it, she (my guess!) will be here and you'll be all cuddles!
Thinking of you!! Hugs from Kansas!
