Still toughing it out
It's been an interesting week already. Our poor little man has had another week of testing his patience. His belly button plug fell off last Thursday night which was exciting but then when we looked at the actual plug itself it looked like it was not intact. A neighbor friend that happens to be a nurse took a look at it on Sunday and saw that there were more pieces of the plug still in there so she removed it and saw that there was some green discharge. In my mind my first thought was "great...here we go again" - his immune system is still weak and I don't know if he can take another infection!!!! So we called the doctor on Monday and of course he wanted Aiden to be seen immediately. So we got in there and they decided to cauterize it and all seems well so far.Thank GOD we dodged a bullet there. Then we went to have what we are hoping is his last set of labs drawn and the first clinic we went to said that they didn't draw blood on infants - which is not what we were told initially, then they sent us to a lab at the Mission Medical Tower and the guy there was a nice enough guy, but when your child is screaming his head off on the table and he can't quite get anything to work right and is supposed to be the one to be trained and have the experience with infants.......needless to say we were not impressed. The following day we decided to take him back to Saddleback where he was born and to go to the lab there and they were AWESOME!! The lady knew exactly what she was doing and we were in and out with minimal fussing. Thank GOD again. We are hoping our little human pin cushion has better days to come. We'll let you know the results of the blood work when we get it.

XOXO
Oh my gosh, he is precious! Poor little guy getting blood drawn! I remember how hard it was to see Anders get poked and prodded as a new born. Awful. =0(
Can't wait to see him in person!!!
He looks like such a little boy in that picture. It's fun when their features start to appear more!
I hope the tests come back fine :)
